Synopsis: The Arcadians was the My Fair Lady of 1909. Indeed, the Ascot Scene very much mirrors the Askwood Races scene in this gorgeous score of Edwardian Musical Comedy hits. In Arcady, the carefree inhabitants are shocked when James Smith, a vulgar, lying, middle-aged caterer, crash-lands his aeroplane there. After being purified and rejuvenated, Smith is transformed into Simplicitas, a shepherd, and sent back to England with Sombra and Chrysea, two delectable Arcadians, to go and convert the wicked Londoners. Things do not always go as planned. From the glorious ‘Pipes Of Pan’ to the lilting ‘The Girl With A Brogue’ and the comedy numbers ‘Back Your Fancy’ and ‘All Down Piccadilly’ this score is more than ripe for re-discovery.

Synopsis: Henna Night by Amy Rosenthal
Directed by Julie Hopkins

Judith leaves Jack, her ex-boyfriend, a desperate message on his answerphone, informing him that she has bought a packet of henna and some razor blades in order to either slash her wrists or dye here hair. What's more, she says she might be pregnant. But it is Ros, Jack's new partner, who hears the message and rushes to Judith's bedsit. An evening of emotion combined with subtle humour ensues, revealing how easily we betray each other when we want something for ourselves, and how fraternizing with the enemy can feel curiously like spending time with a friend.

The Waifs, The Wake and the Whatnot by Eve Old
Directed by Frank Harvey

Based on actual cases heard at the old Sunbury courthouse in the 1850s, this hilarious one act play has a disgruntled visiting English magistrate sent out to dispense Her Majesty's justice in the Antipodes. Murphy, the accused, is facing several charges, the first being non-payment of liquor-his defence-he was dead at the time!!! The case ends in chaos, with total riot in the courtroom.

Tracy written and directed by Kerry Irvin-Lister

Christmas Eve 1974, Darwin was hit by cyclone Tracy. Most the city ignored the warnings and were unprepared for the destruction that ensued. Tracy tells the stories of some of the survivors and their experiences of that fateful night. This is a non-naturalism piece designed to be abstract and actor driven.

Synopsis: 3 Big Men Productions is staging “WORKING” in conjunction with BEYONDBLUE.

“WORKING'' is a musical about people who are never in musicals. The hard hats, cleaning women, parking lot attendants and bricklayers portrayed in this sweet-tempered revue are propelled from the chorus line of life into unlikely leading roles. The trucker on a long haul, the operator on a short break, the waitress on a circuit of the dining room: all get the chance in this show to exercise their inalienable right to life and liberty.

It's an unashamed celebration of the common man, as wholesome as a long weekend picnic. Based on Studs Terkel's identically titled book, a compilation of verbatim interviews with dozens of workers about their daily toils, this musical attempts nothing fancier than to spread the message through song that virtually everyone takes pride on the job and deserves a little respect for it.

''WORKING'' was written by the creators of WICKED and features music by Stephen Schwartz and James Taylor to name a few. Great music!Great Entertainment - Reality that Rocks!
