The Victorian Drama League presents its
6th Annual Summer School for 18 year olds and over.
When: January 28 and 29 (Australia Day weekend) 10am to 5pm both days.
Where: St Mary's College, Carlton (cnr of Swanston Street and Tin Alley)
How much: Residential $330 Live out $250
We're back at St Mary's and I am so excited! Anyone who remembers being part of a previous summer school here will recall what a beautiful setting it is, and how great the food is. And, if you want to explore, the Lygon Street shops and cafes are just round the corner.
The Program
Geoff Wallis Geoff will be back to work his magic on your acting. The weekend will end with the rest of us being allowed in to observe Geoff's Masterclass with the Acting Stream students.
Julian Oldfield Julian will be taking the Directing Stream, and aside from covering the basics of directing, he will help you explore how to extract the most from a script, and bring it up off the page to the stage.
Registering your interest
A completed application form together with the deposit will secure your placing!
In order to secure your place in either the Acting Stream or the Directing Stream, you must email or phone Liz and ask her to send you out a summer school application form, or download one from the VDL website (see below). Applications will be accepted in order of receipt.
As you will see on the form, if you want to be a residential student and stay over in St Mary's College, the price is $330, and you can secure your placing by sending The Victorian Drama League a cheque or money order for the $66 deposit. You will have until January 18th, 2012 to forward the balance.
If you want to be a non-residential student, the price is $250, and you can secure your placing with a $50 deposit in the form of a cheque/money order to be forwarded to The Victorian Drama League. The balance must be paid in full by January 18th, 2012.
